The studio project focused on designing a residential building with a public function on the ground floor within a small, constrained lot. A site survey in the first week revealed challenges such as underground parking, two main streets, and surrounding buildings, limiting design possibilities. To address this, a programmatic design approach using oriented grids was employed, creating an efficient solution that visually enhances the building at the corner and integrates with the public parking area. With basement excavation prohibited, the six-floor structure was stacked to optimize density. Timber cladding and external timber pilasters linked the building to its environment, while reinforced concrete ensured structural stability.
